The first time my son, who was 3 at the time, saw the barn he said "I want a pig!" Which he ended up getting by way of a kind farmer we went to church with. Oh do I have stories about that pig!
Well the years are catching up with this wonderful old structure. The roof started to deteriorate a few years ago and it just kept accelerating. A big wind storm took a large chunk out of it about 3 years ago. and now so many shingles are missing it snow inside too!
Last week the writing on the wall was there, do something now or it will be too late. The whole peak on the back of the barn fell off! So on a fire has been lit under my husband.
We are trying to figure out how to save a portion that I will house my animals in and he would like a storage area too.
The hardest part is we have no disposable income! This is going to have to be done on a shoestring by the sweat of our brows. But I believe it will all be worth it!
